The life of inhabitants and visitors to the city

More comfortable buses with greater capacities including commuter buses and more interconnected connections, those are just a few of the many good reasons to use public transportation. Walking and cycling will not be of marginal interest and overshadowed by automobiles. Repairs to bus stops and pavements together with the removal of barriers improve access for the handicapped and others. Fulfilling the Mobility Plan will improve the comfort of life in the city. Prague will become one of the best designed cities for transportation in Europe.

P+R parking lot

The P+R parking lots have a capacity of only 3000 spots, some of which are regularly already full in the early morning hours.

  • The capacity of the P+R system in Prague and the surrounding region will increase to 20,434 vehicles.
  • Conditions will be created for easy multimodal travel between the wider centre of Prague and the more sparsely populated areas with the use of individual means of transportation for the first/last kilometre of the trip.
  • Prague will take systematic steps to a higher degree of integration of modes of transportation on the infrastructure, operational and data levels with the goal of developing a uniform system of mobility services (mobility as a service).
