SEA discussed at Prague's CAMP

19. December 2018

Dozens of people attended the public discussion of a study on the environmental impact of the Mobility Plan concept.

Dozens of members of the public met at the Centre of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAMP) on Vyšehradská street in Prague 2 last Wednesday to ask the drafters of the Sustainable Mobility Plan for Prague and Surroundings as well as those who produced the SEA about the specific results of the study. By way of introduction, the project manager Daniel Šesták acquainted those present with the content of the draft document and then Pavla Dušková, a representative of the company EIA servis s. r. o. which produced the SEA, presented the assessment process and of course the results of the environmental impact assessment for the concept. A two-hour discussion followed, during which questions were raised on the topic of cross-border spillover, regulation of individual automobile transport, especially through tolls, reducing the number of parking spots and expanding paid parking zones, and also for example whether the SEA took into account the order of implementation of measures with an impact on the environment. You can find the complete minutes of the discussion including the answers here.

Thank you all for attending the meeting, and we would like to remind you that your comments will be discussed during the coming weeks (follow this link).
